What is erbium skin resurfacing?
The Fidelis skin resurfacing procedure is a new minimally invasive procedure that utilizes advanced
laser technology (long pulsed Erbium laser) to reduce wrinkles, clear pigmented lesions and skin
tags, remove sun damaged skin and scarring.
Who are the patients?
Laser skin resurfacing as performed by the Fidelis™ Long-Pulsed Erbium Laser is safe on all skin
types and is most effective on wrinkled or sun-damaged skin.
How does the procedure work?
After administration of a topical anaesthetic cream, low-power laser energy is applied to the face.
The Fidelis Erbium laser energy is absorbed in the upper dermis of the skin causing new collagen to
grow thus helping to reduce wrinkles. Simultaneously, the erbium laser energy removes several
layers of the outer epithelial, much like an aggressive microdermabrasion procedure would.
Does erbium skin resurfacing hurt?
No. Patients may experience minor discomfort similar to a stinging effect, but with the aid of topical
anaesthetic, most patients experience no pain.
What does the average treatment include?
In most cases, only one treatment is required. The treatment lasts about 30 to 45 minutes and is
virtually painless with topical anesthetic. Patients will experience mild facial discoloration depending
on the intensity of treatment and in most cases complete recovery, with noticeable results, will be
attained in 3 to 4 days.
What is IPL Photorejuvenation with the NaturaLight IPL?
Photorejuvenation uses light energy to repair damaged skin: pigmentation, sun damage, freckles,
vascularities, rosacea, acne, wrinkles and uneven skin texture.
What does the NaturaLight IPL procedure involve?
The photorejuvenation procedure (sometimes called a "photofacial") generally lasts between 20 and
40 minutes. Because treatments are quick and non-invasive, there is no topical anesthesia
necessary, just skin cooling with ice or a cooling device. Post treatment, many patients see no
adverse reactions with the treated conditions clearing in 2 to 4 treatments. There may be mild
redness lasting a few hours depending on the intensity of the treatment. Patients are advised to stay
out of the sun following any laser or IPL treatment. Sunblock should be worn at all times.
What does a photofacial cost?
Prices vary depending on the area to be treated, the nature of the skin damage, and the number of
treatments required. Please contact us for a list of physicians in your area offering the NaturaLight
IPL photofacial procedure.
What is mesotherapy?
Traditional mesotherapy is a series of injections to target areas to treat unwanted fat or cellulite.
Mesotherapy injections metabolically target the tissue of adipose fat cells, causing rupture and
death of the cells. Traditional mesotherapy is very painful due to the hundreds of injections
necessary, and the bruising and swelling that occur post-treatment.
How is needle-free mesotherapy accomplished?
Needle-free mesotherapy with the Transderm Ionto uses the same drug compounds as in traditional
mesotherapy, but delivers the solutions in a different way. The Transderm utilizes reverse-polarity
iontophoresis to allow solutions to pass into the body's cells through the skin's water based
channels. Iontophoresis uses continuous, reverse-polarity electrical pulses to drive the solutions into
the body. Needle-free mesotherapy elminates fat and cellulite without the needles necessary for
What does the Transderm needle-free mesotherapy treatment involve?
The Transderm needle-free mesotherapy treatment is completely painless with no topical numbing
creams necessary. The treatment lasts from 10 to 40 minutes depending on treatment area and
protocol, and the patient only feels a slight vibrating feeling from the handpiece. Post-treatment there
is no bruising or swelling as with traditional mesotherapy. Treatments are repeated every 1 to 3
weeks depending on no-needle mesotherapy treatment protocol.
What does the needle-free mesotherapy treatment cost?

treatments required. Please contact us for a list of physicians in your area offering the Transderm Ionto no-
needle mesotherapy procedure.
